I moved to this hotel after checking out early from the the Madeley Court in Ironbridge and stayed for 2 nights in Sep'16. This hotel was soooo much better! Nice clean room, Faultless service from the staff, Excellent food! I will definitely stay here again when I'm next in Shropshire on business! Highly recommended!

I have stayed here about three years ago and it was ok.
So I booked an Executive Twin Room. The room was not Executive and in fact, the bathroom was designed for a wheelchair user, so the wash hand basin was far too low. I had not requested a disabled friendly room and was not told that it was when I checked in. We were tired and did not bother asking for another room as we were onlt there for one night. I did ask if there were any weddings and was informed there was a dinner dance. It was not suggested this would be a problem.
At around midnight, We were woken to the sound of loud voices, some of whom had drunk too much. It was right outside our window, the room was on the ground floor by the entrance. This racket continued for one and a half hours.
I cannot understand why a hotel would allocate a room knowing that this would be a problem and also knowing that the guests were not disabled.
The people who had been to the dinner dance were waiting for taxi's and each time a taxi arrived it stopped right outside our room.
I will not be returnng..

Well....the first room we refused was extremely dark on ground floor and had laundry room next to it with several washing machines and dryers on the go.. Each floor had a laundry room and therefore the corridors were PERMANENTLY full of washing baskets etc.,The room we accepted was marginally better, apart from the mattress was far too small for the size of wooden bed. On getting in and out of it caused bruising on shins and calves until we decided to pack towels to cover the wood. Bathroom door banged back onto you when opened catching your arm with metal handle. The owners have concentrated on Historic furniture and appearance rather than safety.or practicality...unnecessary side table had huge metal claw feet which caught your bare feet. Dressing table in dark corner i.e. nowhere other than bathroom for drying hair or applying makeup. All furniture was just for show. Mainly cater for Weddings and functions, so main part of hotel was unavailable to us. Wedding guests stood in large groups noisily smoking and drinking under our room windows, which couldnt be opened due to smoke inhalation., Breakfast was disapointingly a buffet quite difficult to hold a huge stainless steel lid with one hand whilst trying to obtain food with the other, due to table being so very small (but historic!) dining room strangely set out, having to go down steps for cereals etc., then back up or down to your table. Finally, guests should be informed that this is mainly a Corporate/Wedding Hotel, and there are NO DISABLED SPACES PROVIDED. in fact parking was a nightmare. AS you have guessed we would never ever return to this hotel, when there are lots of other comfortable hotels in the area. Only good memory was the lovely staff. Oh and breakfast food was acceptable apart from the bacon which was rock hard due to being over a flame constantly. So instead of leaving in each room a packet of two tiny biscuits wrapped with a message saying, hand made just for you, locally, perhaps concentrate on more sensible obvious points.

Room Tip: If available, there are 5 luxury rooms in the actual hotel. We were put accross due to functions on each day.

We attended a Anniversary Party at the Albright Hussey Manor Hotel and stayed the night in "The Royalist Suite". This room was superb in the old part of the Manor house and included a four poster bed. The food was first class and the staff especially Malcolm the duty manager made the stay extra special.

We attended a wedding here. Everything was wonderful from the moment we booked. We asked to check in early when we booked online and a member of staff called within the hour to say that they would try their very to honour our request. All staff were friendly and professional, rooms well equipped, clean and ours had possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel. Breakfast was also exceptional. And as for the wedding itself, it was perfect. From the ceremony, to the wedding breakfast to the evening reception.
