It's been several years since we were last here and they've improved the place further - nice atmosphere on a cold November evening and pretty full - being popular often gives the game away. Nice exposed brickwork gives a warm feel to the place and the vintage Ferrari adverts are an attractive touch. Straightforward and unassuming Italian food, excellently cooked and served pretty quickly too - impressive on a busy Friday night. We started with a bowl of mushrooms with a Gorgonzola sauce and a plate of lovely garlicky and buttery griddled asparagus, then moved seamlessly on to pasta dishes - ham and bacon carbonara for Jenny (excellent creamy and peppery sauce) and a spinach, black olive and dolcellate pasta dish for me with cherry tomatoes. Generous quantities but not over the top, and a couple of large glasses of house Montepulciano to wash it down. We were well satisfied - and agreed we should't leave it so long to come back.
