We came here for lunch as a group of 11 after completing the Vitality London 10K. They have a beautiful upstairs dining room, light and airy with its own bar. It was a very warm day and the staff kindly sorted out the air con to cool the room down. We were looked after by two lovely staff who were very attentive. The food was incredible, every dish was beautifully cooked and presented and considering it’s a pub in Mayfair, the prices were extremely reasonable. Well done to the whole team - keep up the great work!

Congratulations on completing the Vitality London 10K - a great achievement and a busy day for us at the pub but one which was full of happy guests celebrating the run! We loved it.
Look forward to welcoming you back soon - perhaps the marathon next?!
Take care

Found this place on TripAdvisor after our visit to the Royal Academy and certainly not disappointed.

Nelson Burger was simply delicious and chips, although only warm were fantastic.

The Bacon and Brie open sandwich was very tasty and filling

Cauliflower cheese side dish was excellent and piping hot.

Staff friendly and efficient

Would have given 5 stars if it were not for the chips only being warm.

We popped into the King's Head after afternoon tea for a drink. Some delightful nooks and crannies to sit in. Lots of good beers on tap and a whole list of sausages to choose from. We had a very pleasant afternoon at a hightop table sipping on pints.

I was in a play at this venue.
But other than performing, the bar at this charming place was was friendly and chatty, so I became occupied in relating the story of my life, or listening to the barwoman relating hers. I chose mine, since I knew this best.
The pub is certainly a friendly space and if you are alone there is no excuse to avoid it.
