I was looking for a Fish&Chips restaurant and ended up at Gigs, which turned out to have a menu including simple but freshly made Mediterranean cuisine. Service was very friendly. Decided to go with cod&chips, which where nice but I prefer a better crunch to the batter. Chips was very nice. Price level was acceptable and I would return, if not for the food, I actually forgot to tip the waiter although he really earned it after chatting about football for more than hour.

Best fish and chips in town! Delicious food and friendly service. If you're in the area, I highly recommend popping into Gigs.

Best fish and chips ever. The home made sauces are awesome. Please try if you are in the area. The fish doesn't leave you with a heavy, oily feeling, and the chips are amazing. Service is fantastic, and the owner even showed us his kitchens. Had a lovely time.

Had a fish and chips take away at this restaurant yesterday to eat on the public benches nearby. High prices, but maybe that's to be expected for central London. Chips were soggy and disgusting, only ate a few but felt queasy for hours afterwards. Escaped getting 1 star because although the fish batter was equally poor, the fish itself was fresh and moist
