Stopped here for lunch on a day out in London. We'd been to the British Museum and wanted somewhere nearby where we could get pie and mash. We were not disappointed!

We chose the taster board - 3 little pies, mash, gravy and liquor and 3 small glasses of beer! Ordering was quick and friendly and the boards were brought to our table with a smile and the 3 beers were explained by the bar maid. Incredibly tasty and filling.

Staff friendliness was amazing, we felt like we were regulars!

The decor and ambience added to the experience, we will definitely return next time we are in London.

A lovely pub with beautiful interesting architecture and traditional pub fittings.

Large selection of ales and lagers. No bar service due to covid restrictions but the drinks and food menu is accessible from a QR code at the table making it quick and easy to order.

Speaking of covid, the track and trace system was carried out to the letter, and hand gel was also available making the visit not only pleasant but extremely safe. The landlady was determined to make sure all protocols were abided by, which was brilliant.

We had some nachos to share, which were nice and a few pints.

The toilets were spotless, which again was much appreciated.

I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely pub

Found this convenient "Ale and Pie" pub near our theatre trip. Great welcome and service with a traditional pub menu likely to please all. Would visit others of this type if there were any more local, but none north of the west end. Good Covid compliance. Unusual for a pub to apply a service charge, especially on drinks

Had a very enjoyable evening with friends in this busy pub, located centrally in the West End. Feedback from myself and others, that the bar staff need to be aware that it’s annoying to order a pint of beer, and not receive a full pint, I gave up asking for them to top up the glass, plus it’s not a good reflection on the brewer, £5.25 for a pint of “London Pride” I suggest a little more appreciation of the customers by staff, a full pint and the staff to be trained better with pulling a pint.

The young man behind the bar poured me a beautiful pint of ale within seconds of me perching at the bar. Didnt catch his name but a credit to whoever hired him. Great little pub.
