Behind the magnificent St George's Hall is St John's Gardens and located in the well kept gardens are plenty of statues and monuments, the statue dedicated to William Gladstone is of particular interest.
William Ewart Gladstone ( 1809 - 1898 ) was born in Rodney Street in Liverpool and had a remarkable political career that spanned over 60 years, a British statesman and Liberal political, he served as Chancellor Of The Exchequer for 12 years and ultimately Prime Minister for 12 years from 1868 - 1894 .
The statue is really prominent, very well detailed, eye catching and very photogenic, makes for some great photographic opportunities especially with the wonderful St George's Hall as a stunning backdrop, easy to locate in St John's Gardens along William Brown Street, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.
