The Holiday-Inn chain should be one of the best hotel experience in the world. The name is well known and the reputation is very good. You can find advertisements everywhere telling how awesome this chain is.
We booked via internet and we were "welcomed" by Lavona. She was rude. She was doing two or three things at the same time, looking at her computer screen and not looking at the the customer's face. There were other customers and they were treated just like that. At least, she is the same with everyone. The reception was really crowded and there was a lot of noise, because there was an event in the ballroom right after the reception. So, after a while, we paid by credit card and we could get our rooms. The rooms were very distant from each other and this was annoying.
After setting up we decided to have dinner in the hotel. The restaurant was closed, but they could serve some food at the bar. We agreed. The food was good (expensive though, but we could understand). The other young lady that served us was not able to record correctly our order. Anyway, everyone can make mistakes, and she was very kind. Eventually there wasn't any problem.
Wifi is not free. Usually, in this kind of hotels there is a wifi connection which is free for the first hour, and then you can pay to connect again. This hotel has an high-speed connection with guarantee bandwidth, which can be good for businessmen and group of people who need a reliable connection for video conferencing, but for the rest of us, please, provide a limited time free wifi connection, considering the price we paid!
Sleeping was impossible. There was this loud disco party until 2:00 am. We complained, but they did not care. We already paid, so, no discount or no treat (for example a coffee or anything else).
The morning after we had a coffee in the lounge. While we were leaving the hotel. Lavonia, again, was absolutely not welcoming and she asked again "DID YOU PAY?", which was highly rude and unprofessional, considering that YOU HAVE TO PAY IMMEDIATELY, and indeed, WE DID!!! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
