We used to live in Cleethorpes and Steels Corner fish restaurant in the market place was outstanding. Owned by two brothers, one, the trawler owner, caught the fish and the other ran the restaurant. Always a queue but outstanding food and service.
Now we live in Westbourne and Chez Fred is in the same vein as Steels.Great ,freshly cooked fish, very good service and good value for money. We are regular visitors. Great place

4 of us went for lunch, get there early cos you might not get a seat !
special mentions sarah the meeter and greeter, a red hot lady when she seats you you stay sat, all done with a smile; shaun the waiter,, this guy will forget more about fish and chips than most people will ever learn all done with a big smile, humour and rolling eyes, mira, the salad girl, her smile lightes up Bournemouth. this is a winning team. The premises, spotless, the menu, brilliant, the service first class. I cannot praise it enough and the food aint bad also...…………….

Went to Chez Fred on Saturday night, it was bank holiday weekend so we knew it would be busy. They don’t take bookings so you have to wait, we had to wait around 50 minutes for a table. Although it would have been nice to get a drink while waiting ( it was a very warm evening) the wait was well worth it. The fish and chips are delicious and so fresh, we can’t wait for a return visit. Hopefully not on a bank holiday weekend.

Visited with friends during the early May Bank holiday; the food was fantastic and the staff were amazing. They truly deserve 'Customer Service of the Year Award' - I would definitely recommend Chez Fred for their Fish and Chips.
