A little gem....we went last night and back again Saturday it was so good......had the haloumi tacos and they were perfect...light and crispy and my husband had the steak jus and thoroughly enjoyed it.....good value and honest food....Sarah is a great chef and front house staff friendly and helpful.....wish them both every success in this venture they deserve it.

After weeks of walking past saying 'I wanna go in here' me and my friend finally went, and I honestly wish we went so much earlier. The cocktails were delicious and different from just the typical offering, the waitress/host was extremely friendly and could not be more accommodating. The food was out of this world and I definitely will come back when back in the area again.

Looked on TA last week as was going to be in Bournemouth for a couple of nights this weekend and fed up of all the boring chain restaurants that Bournemouth has to offer and to my surprise saw this at No1. Read through the reviews and decided to book. Tried to book for Friday but restaurant was full due to a private party, so had to book for Saturday. We were not disappointed. The greeting was friendly and we were given a choice of tables. Menu is not huge but enough choice that we found it difficult to decide what to pick as it all sounded good. Settled on a portion of Chicken Wings to start which were just the right amount of spice, not too hot but hot enough. For main we had a Burger and the Roast Beef Dip. Both were served with triple cooked chips. The food was well presented and very tasty. We also had beer and wine and when the bill came were pleasantly surprised as was well priced. Will definitely visit here again next time we are in the area.

Wow, this place is amazing.

We were recommended this place by my sister in law and her boyfriend.

The food was delicious and the beers and cocktails out of this world.

The service by the two owners was outstanding and very very friendly, you almost feel like family just popping in for a catch up.

Thank you so so much for a lovely meal and warm welcoming experience.

We will be back for sure.

The rustic decor suits the Canadian theme of the restaurant & a warm greeting from one of the two owners welcomes you in.
She was happy to talk us through the menu, explaining why they chose to bring this style of food to Bournemouth, the chef/owner having spent many years in Canada.
Be warned, portions are huge but everything was extremely tasty & you must leave room for one of the lovely desserts.
Everything is freshly prepared and cooked to order so be prepared for a bit of a wait but it is worth it.
