Wow. We couldn't ask for much more than such a fullsome review. And so pleased you could enjoy our Sunday lunch service too which has been immensely popular from the outset. We too hope you'll return many times as guests who have become friends are what make this business so worthwhile and rewarding for us all here at the Bay.

In the meantime best wishes from all the team here at TMB and thanks once agian for you generous comments.

We spent 3 days in this lovely hotel. Rooms were superb and the whole ambience of the hotel was relaxing and welcoming. Food was top quality and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and very professional staff. We would have no hesitation in recommending to any family or friends visiting the area.

but abit greasyThis was a very pleasant visit to a restaurant which is still finding its way. The staff were were helpful and we enjoyed our visit. We are a very experienced restaurant visiting group and we eat at many top class restaurants. This one is in transition. They have lots of good points and we hope that they can climb the ladder a bit further.

My salt and pepper squid was very tasty. The Confit of Duck was tasty, but a bit overcooked. Everything was good but not yet excellent. I wish them well for the future and will visit them agan in a few months and hope that they have climbed a bit further up the ladder. The staff cannot be faulted and were very pleasant and personable. We enjoyed our visit, and look forward to the next tome.

Dear diner

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your observations on your recent event at the Brasserie and think your summation 'Everything was good but not yet excellent' is one we wouldn't disagree with.

Of course large groups are always an extra challenge for any kitchen but it is great to hear that you feel we acquitted ourselves well bearing in mind our status as relative newcomers to the restaurant scene in the Bay.

As you quite rightly say, practice makes perfect and perhaps putting the confit on the menu, for the first time, on a large group, was maybe a touch ambitious. Lesson learned.

But excellent is what we always aim for so hope that when you next return you'll find we'll have travelled a lot further down that road.

Bon appétit until then from all the team at Brasserie at the Bay

Dear Debbie D

An absolute delight having you guys to stay at Meadfoot Bay. What we love so much is that you really do treat it like a home from home which is exactly how we want people to feel about a stay at the bay. Cosy and comfy and now with food to match. We hope we can look forward to welcoming you again next year.

In the meantime best wishes form Phil, Vicki, Jody and all the team at TMB

Just back from our annual pilgrimage to Torquay, where we always stay at the Meadfoot. This year, very pleasantly surprised by all the refurbishment and re-decoration in the public areas - Vicki and Phil have done a great job.
