Lovely big room with huge comfortable bed and other good facilities.
Bathroom was a disgrace, broken sink that had been siliconed to fix it which looked awful, the ‘cold’ tap had the top missing which looked tacky and cheap. I found the previous guests empty shower gel behind the manky looking shower curtain on what was a very dirty surface... clearly the cleaners had done nothing between guests! I’ve seen much better toilets too!
The girl on reception who had been delightful At checkin was very apologetic when I told her about the dirty bathroom and offered to have it cleaned immediately.
The food in the restaurant was fabulous both evening and breakfast with service to match.
The check out was less impressive as we found reception manned by a young lad slumped in the chair who ran off to find someone who could help us.
A rather miserable girl appeared eventually who checked our room account and took our key but never asked if we had a good stay or if there were any issues. Maybe they work on ‘ignorance is bliss’ or maybe they just don’t promote customer service.
Only given 3 stars for the food and comfortable room ... the hideous shabby and dirty bathroom and miserable staff on departure made it less than a perfect stay.
Would I stay again? No .. wouldn’t take the chance on the lack of cleanliness and hit and miss service.More
