Walking past the top of Park Street you could be forgiven for not realising you can visit the amazing tower above and have a fantastic tour of Bristol University main hall too. Tours need to be booked, you also need to be fairly fit because although there are lifts there is still quite a bit of steep stairs to go to the very top which would be a shame to miss.Excellent guides and you really get a great perspective of Bristol University. At the very top the views on all 4 sides are stupendous. The bells ring (ear plugs provided thank goodness). Following this tour I often now remember it as I walk past

You wouldn't visit a high school as an attraction, so why would you visit a university? It's not interesting...

walk round to the back of Physics and there are beautiful gardens and interesting sculptures. So much more than just what you see from the main road. Wills Memorial is a must see.

We went to the University open day last weekend and had a great time. This is an off campus site so lots of walking to do and lots of hills to climb , but the facilities and faculties that the Uni showcases are second to none.

We were really impressed with the organisation of the day, there were plenty of signs directing you around the different sights to see. The lectures provided were interesting and insightful.

The only down side about the event I thought was that there could have been more interaction with the previous years students. It would have been useful to have had guided tours with them so that could talk about their own experiences at the uni.

Great day out though - would definitely recommend a visit to any student looking to go to uni - it's certainly one to consider!

We had a pleasant day at the university open day, at this university based in the town and also viewing the accommodation further out from the centre. Interesting how it blends into the town with roads of buildings that at first sight appear to be houses but are part of certain university faculties.
