We stayed 5 nights at La Casa D Irene in September. The hotel is approx 2 Kim's out of the small town of Agias Nikita's. The hotel is very clean and maintained well. The rooms are very simple, old style small tv's and basic furnishings. We had a tv and fridge in the room. It was nonetheless comfortable. Not a lot of space to lay out suitcases.

The balcony was very large with table and chairs and the view over the water was the main drawcard for this accommodation.

The hosts were very accommodating, it is a family ran hotel and there is a family kitchen where you will see the family everyday. They offer a simple buffet breakfast if you want it for 5 Euros otherwise coffee and tea for no charge.

You really need a car as very steep roads in the area, plenty of parking on site.

The hotel was good value for money but the rooms are fairly basic but very clean and comfortable.

A quiet hotel, not suitable for people who want to party or play loud music etc... there are stairs to the rooms.

The place looks much better than in the pictures.. Definitely will be back there!

I stayed here for 9 days in september 2015. The place is so much more beautiful than pictures can show. The room are clean, tidy and have a wonderful view where we used to stay in the early morning. It is a quiet place and they offer a small breakfast which is actually tasty. It includes Nutella, toast, tea, juices, coffee and jam. The wifi is very strong and works excellent even at the second floor! Lovely place, will definitely come back. I love Lefkada!! ❤️

Pictures of these apartments that you can find on various web sites do not show half of the beauty of this place. Nor do they tell how great and helpful the owners are.
When you see the view from the balcony (any balcony, they all have the same view) for the first time you will not want to go to the beach. It is oriented to the west, so during morning they are in the shade and there is no better place for your morning coffee. The rooms are basic, but really clean, there is a kitchen on the ground floor with all the appliances you need. The owners are more than great, always there to help.
But, sooner or later, you will have to take a swim so the closest beach is Cathisma, just one km away (which is nothing in Lefkada) and it offers everything you need- free parking, showers, bars, restaurants and the beach itself is long, wide and beautiful. On the other hand, if you want to see the real beauty of this Island, you have to travel a bit further, to Egremni, or Megali petra, or Porto Katsiki, or Milos beach and that is the whole point of coming to Lefkada. The colour of the sea, the nature that surrounds these beaches is amazing! Milos is the closest, never crowded, beautiful sand, with christal clear water but have to take a boat to get to it. Porto Katsiki is the most famous, and just seeing it takes the breath away. But the real gems of Lefkada are Egremni and Megali petra! I will not say anything else about these beaches because you have to see them for yourself :) Be prepared for a lot of steps to get to Egremni, but it is worth it.
Lefkas city is a nice place to visit at night, to take a walk, but it is an usual Greek tourist town with restaurants, shops and taverns. Giros is the best at Dalton's, but that's just my opinion :) If you have a chance, visit Nidri and the waterfalls nearby for a day, take a boat trip to Kefalonia, so many things to see.
Lefkada=a lot of driving but an experience you'll never forget!

Room tip: Top floor, just for a slightly better view, otherwise all rooms are the same.
