I can’t thank the staff enough for the wonderful experience we had here. We were at a nearby resort that was horrible, called CoCo View 800# to see if they had a room, they did, they sent a boat to pick us up, we felt like we were being rescued. Our Roatan trip was saved. The resort was quiet, water was gorgeous, access to the reef was perfect, paddle boards and kayaks were readily available. All of the diver guests were very happy and nice. The manager and his wife were very friendly and came around at dinner to talk with everyone. The rooms, food and entertainment were excellent. The small comfy atmosphere was very enjoyable. We will definately be back.

Coco View dive resort was a pleasant surprise. Have to admit, I went into this adventure with husband and four friends, with very low expectations. I say that as the resort flyer indicated that we need to bring bug spray and shampoo, I thought to myself even Motel 6 provides shampoo! So my expectations were low. We arrived at the airport and was met by the transfer van and took about 25 minutes to reach the Coco View dock. Then ferried over to the island. Yes it is a separate island, no director access from the main island. Our room #13 was spacious, wood floors & ceiling detail, good, cold AC and king size bed. Each room has their own balcony with seating. No TV nor phones in the rooms. Meals were served buffet style with good, plentiful food. Different menu each day. Bar drinks are not included and we found very watered down, suggest that if you like stronger drinks to get doubles or bring your own bottle to fortify. Unlimited shore diving is included with the "house reef" not too far away featuring the sunken Prince Albert ship and some airplane parts. The diving was a little different that we were used to consisting of a one tank boat dive at 8:30 am with optional 2nd tank drop off at the house reef where you swim/walk back in. Second dive is at 2:00 again with one tank boat dive and drop off. The drop off dive was OK although murky water as it is in an active, busy harbor and between the numerous boats and tides, the visibility is not that great. We booked a tour on Friday to see some of Roatan, Barbra with the Camera Shop was our guide and a very informative, delightful guide. Overall our group enjoyed our stay, comparing it to a live aboard dive experience, but better as your not stuck on a boat for a week! In my opinion good place for diving experience, not so much for non divers. Be sure to catch Doc's island history program!

Room Tip: We liked #13, 2nd floor next to dining and marina buildings

Our second visit to the resort and can't say enough good stuff about the facilities or the staff.
The dive boats are the best we've ever been on, and dive sites are all very close by.
The diving in the front yard is easy to access and they have taken precautions to make sure everyone is a safe as possible.
The gear locker arrangement is excellent and keeps you from having to track your gear back and forth from your room, and the dive masters and crew take excellent care of your gear.
No one leaves the table at CoCo View dissatisfied. They have a great kitchen and wait staff.

CoCo View is great. They pick you up at airport, although you usually have to wait for everyone to get their luggage scanned. The resort is on the water so you have to take a boat to get their but does mean that you are in a tranquil and peaceful area. The cabanas are over the water with a hammock on the back deck. Great for relaxing in the afternoon or at night Beds are comfy. This is a DIVER's retreat so not a lot to do other than dive, eat, drink and relax. At night you can open the doors and hear the water. The boat dives are great and you can do a drop off and swim back along the wall to the resort. Night diving available as well. Only bad thing are the nosomos.... pesky bugs that can bite and ruin the trip so you need to spray yourself every time you leave your room and you CANNOT walk barefoot as they will devour you. OFF or Deep Woods spray works well, just make sure that you always reapply it. Food is good - not 4 star but good. Boat crew is great. Like having a spot right by the boats where you can rinse, dry and store all your dive equipment so that you don't have to lug it all the way to your room, Definitely try ONE Monkey LALA.... it's an ADULT milkshake, more or less! :-)

We are serious dive travelers. We have looked at CoCo View for many years, and finally booked 2 weeks june july 2017. Here are my thoughts: the dive operation at CoCo View is the best I have ever seen in 42 dive trips iver 35 years. There are 4 or 5 beamy, great dive boats easily taking 15 + divers. Each boat has its own gear lockers 20 feet from the boat! Rinse bins are everywhere, always sparkling clear water. We often poured it on our heads when hot! The boats have a secret weapon: a pop up rabbitt hole, with ladder, in the middle of the boat! We had sone rough seas, and this feature for us, 60+age, is super. Our divemaster Gringo or Robert ir Marcos were always there to help with fins, or grabbing our tanks. There are 2 walls and a wreck right off the hotel, easily reached from shore. Great snorkeling too. Food is all inclusive 3 meals a day. They changed the menu up always, and it was every bit B+ to A-....and all u can eat lobster tails on friday! The diving? I would give the reefs a solid B, but a B- in critter quantity and quality. I am unfairly comparing Roatan to Bonaire, where critter numbers and diversity are king. A great thing about COCO View, is their focus on macro, and the smaller overlooked critters that we often forget. It changed the way I dived for 2 weeks! Overall, the Honduran people were so lovely, so delightfully even keel, it made me think I should be more like Hondurans, especially those on Roatan. The resort is clean as a pin, and problems are tended to INSTANTLY here. I already miss CoCo View.
