Clean hotel with probably the best shower I've every had in any hotel room anywhere. Big room with nice balcony with view of volcano. Lovely pool area and swim up bar, and secluded hot tubs scattered around the pool grounds in a natural tropical layout. Good buffet breakfast with eggs or omelets made to order. Spa was fantastic and decent price. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Food and service wasn't bad, it just was way overpriced compared to what you can get a few miles down the road in town. Out of 7 nights in Costa Rica (3 in La Fortuna) this dinner was our least favorite and by far the most expensive ($105 USD for 2 and that was with no wine or alcohol). Wonderful dinning options in town for one third the price, so save your money. We also had lunch poolside which was not very good and pricey. Hotel is very nice and with so many options for lunch and dinner close by, the restaurant doesn't take away too much from the hotel. I'd stay here again as the service was great (they bring a nice pastry to your door every evening), as is the spa, pool and location to Arenal Volcano.More
