We have drove past this place whilst on the 334 you cant miss it as a huge white marble head in the car park its so high and been told it weights around 340 ton now that's a sight to see, the museum is easy to find as right beside the main 334 plenty of car parking which is free the museum has lots of rooms to visit!! its free to enter but you can leave small change on the way out if you like, there are lots of local artwork to see and the Perez Siquier Photographic centre is right next door again its free and well worth a visit, lots of local photos, if you like black and white artwork you will love this place, the attendant was most helpful and as we were leaving he informed us that we had missed out a room and guided us into it, then as we left he informed us that the Museum had a private side room outside which is locked, but he asked us if we would like to see the works inside and again he took us inside and waited for us to view and take in all the works, upon leaving he gave us lots more information including telling us about the Perez Siquier Photographic Centre which was next door, if he had not informed us about this place we would have left without visiting it, he was most helpful and a credit to the museum. a great morning out, just check the openning times if your planning to visit as moving away from summer now into winter so alot of places open with much shorter opening times.

We visited the Museo Casa Ibanez and the Perez Siquier Photographic archive located adjacent to the Art gallery. We found it best to visit one at a time since they both so absorbing and in many ways unique.

If you want to understand something of the artistic talent and cultural history of Andalusia this site is a must. It is exciting, amusing, informative and housed in two remarkable buildings. The giant female head sculpture makes the venue hard to miss.

Another bonus is the enthusiastic and knowledgeable people working in both establishments.

It is a little way from the costal resorts but absolutely worth the visit. Do go!

This place is a real gem and we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep, we always bring guests here and they are always impressed. The resident artist is Andres Garcia Ibanez, and his work is fantastic. The building is beautifully laid out, very accessible, and with wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Incidentally, the Ladies' toilet is the best I've ever seen in a public building, anywhere! There are other regular exhibitions held here, email newsletters keep you up to date.

The little pueblo Olula has a Gem in its Museo Casa Ibanez. The majority of the exposition comes from the hands of this amazing painter. You get so many beautiful impressions, that a one time visit is probably not enough. Fortunately we live close enough, to come several times. ¡Hasta Pronto!
