Surprisingly comfortable quarters in this quirky alternative to more conventional accommodation. Lovely helpful owners & a memorable stay. It was so nice to sit on the deck with a drink, watch the canal traffic & unwind after a day's walking.
We adore the Canal du Midi but this is the first time we have actually stayed on the water. Very quirky barge, beautifully decorated and with very welcoming hosts: Patrick & Mado. Our cabin, although 'bijou' had everything one could need and the bed was extremely comfortable. We arrived during a heatwave but were provided with a fan which worked brilliantly. It was very calm and peaceful. Patrick booked us into a local hostellerie for dinner which was very helpful. Breakfast was taken on deck - ideal! We would throughly recommend a stay on this péniche.
We stayed one night. The hosts were charming and very welcoming. The accommodation very nice, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. We would highly recommend. The hosts suggested a great restaurant Hostellerie Etienne, which they kindly reserved a table for us. All in all a great experience.
We stayed aboard this lovely barge for one night as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations. We received a warm welcome from the owners (who live onboard) and had a very comfortable stay. The living space is surprisingly spacious and well appointed. The home-made apple cake in the morning was a nice touch.
