This is a decent half-day trip from Bangalore, Less than 100 kms and you can break at Sree Krishna Inn midway. Last 7 kms drive to the destination is through villages, but the road is smooth and wide. Do not overspeed as local villagers and cattle frequently cross the roads and vehicles come in opposite direction. There is a check-post at the entrance of the dam. Fee for two adults and car parking costed 30 INR. Walk to the dam takes 10 minutes. One can spend 1-2 hours of time here. The view from the top of the dam is very good. There is a well maintained garden and is a photographers' delight. Start early morning to avoid scorching heat reflecting from hill top and concrete. Overall the place is clean, though the approach road where the dam water drains has got a stink.
