Review of Elephant Hills
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 Mar 2024via mobile
This was another lifetime experience during our 21 day journey through Thailand. Everything was first class. Wonderful accommodations at elephant Hills on day one and then the floating tents on the lake day two. Our guide, T, was top rate. A young man with a giant smile and a ton of knowledge. He made every step of the way a blast. Too much to share so I would simply say put this one on your itinerary. The food was solid at elephant Hills, and excellent at the floating tent camp. Just beautiful.
Date of stay: February 2024
Room Tip: The hike through the forest on day two is more challenging than I expected. But if you’re up to...

Absolutely amazing experience. The guides we're are very knowledgeable approachable and helpful.
When you arrive your busy. First day after checking in to our tent you're off to feed the Elephants. Then you go back for Lunch and after that your off Kayaking.
and after that before evening dinner a video presentation and local children dancing also demonstrating cooking followed by a feast of Thai and international food.
The second Day after breakfast. you will travel by truck to the a massive man made lake and spend the whole day sightseeing. There's a boat trip to the lake campsite where you have lunch. After that there's swimming and more Kayaking in breathtaking scenery.

We stayed one night at the elephant hill camp and then travelled to the floating lake camp. It was such an unreal experience from start to finish! We got to prepare and feed the elephants, as well as having a guided canoe tour. When we arrived to the lake camp we were given opportunities to go on jungle treks or kayaking. The kayaking was so much fun and we got to spot so many monkeys in the trees! There isn’t any signal on the lake camp, so it’s a real detox from the outside world.. we throughly enjoyed it! As a vegetarian I was catered for so well, and always had something available for me. Thanks so much to our tour guide Ant, you were amazing!

Room tip: not too good if you get travel sickness!

We had an adventure here. Amazing staff ovely food and to stroke and feed the elephants was wonderful. The elephants and not on the actual campsite but a drive about 1.5 hours away and you get about 2 hours with them. But every day you have a new activity which is great. The noises are sometimes very loud from the cecader bug so get ear plugs from the desk

Went for 3 days 2 nights - it was enough. The days were very well planned by the guides. We had Saow who was brilliant. Accommodation (tents) excellent. Food and drink good. Feeding the elephants was an excellent experience and kayaking on the lake was memorable. Highly recommended if going to Thailand.

Room tip: All luggage is taken to your tent. Trek is a light walk through the jungle. Don’t have to be fit.

Wonderful location with stunning views, staff and food all excellent. Our tent was definitely what I would describe as glamping ! Stayed for two nights and the excursions were great, only disappointing thing is that we had our elephant experience within a couple of hours of our arrival and that was it .. would have been lovely if there were further opportunities to interact or see them.
