Disgusting food.

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 May 2022
The food was terrible, service in the restaurant too. We got plastic cups, mashed potatoes were liquidy. They only served us water. The chicken was bland and so was the soup. Location and the place itself is nice but the food is utterly disgusting. We came here as a school visit.also the plates are plastic.

We needed a place to stay for a couple of weeks in the Šumadija area in order to visit family members without imposing on them. This fitted the bill for us perfectly, though without relatives to visit I suggest that a few days or a long weekend is about long enough.

The hotel is situated on a hillside with pleasant views of Šumadija, and lots of lovely fresh air. It is in close proximity to Orašac (of historical interest as the site of the First Serbian Uprising), Arandjelovac (which has a good Aquapark), Topola (where is it worth visiting Oplenac), and a little further to Mladenovac. However, if you don't have access to a car this is a very isolated spot.

The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming, and really do try their best to please and make you feel comfortable. The service was generally very good and the reception staff were particularly helpful (to name an individual as being really first class - Ana). The restaurant is rustic with delicious traditional food, though choice became rather limited as we stayed two weeks. However, the selection is perfectly sufficient for a shorter break of a few days. In terms of room cleanliness I would say it was probably one of the best places I have stayed, with beautifully clean sheets changed every other day.

There is not much to do other than sunbathe and swim, so bring a book or other entertainment. Note that there are only Serbian language channels on the TV, but the rooms do have DVD players, so if you like films and don't speak Serbian, bring your own entertainment. There is also free Wi-Fi, which was very useful. During the week the pool was very pleasant as it was quiet, but at the weekend it was very busy (we stayed at the height of the season).

The name is something of a misnomer. The word "wellness" (which is a very poor use of English in any case) indicates that this is some sort of health spa. It is not. It is a hotel with an outside swimming pool. But now that you know that you will not be deceived!

I have no hesitation at all in recommending this hotel for a short break or a "get away from it all" retreat. You will need a car and a few good books. Value for money is excellent and we left having had a very relaxing holiday.

Went a couple times there, only to swim and sunbath, amazing area and beautiful surrounding. When travelling there with car, "parking" close to the villa is situated, no fees for that i think. A real parking is inside the area of the villa but it was way crowded to get a space first time we were there, therefore we left our car at the "parking".

From the mainroad going to the center of Orasac, and later Arandjelovac, you can see the wellness center, beautiful. The road the eventually leads to the wellness center is small so look out for people driving to fast! There is a gas station/kiosk when entering the road for the wellnes center so that's good if you need to buy water or something to eat or drink before/after the day.

I also remembers that there's an ethnic restaurant close to the wellness center (appr. 5km), but here you have to have a jeep or a monster car to drive on that poor road.

The restaurang at the wellness center is cozy and offers a great menu such as the traditional pljeskavica (try it!!), soups, pastas, serbian main dishes etc.
They also sell icecream some meters from the restaurant.

The poolarea consist of the two big pools. One for children and one ordinary. The big ordinary pool has a bar where you can order soft drinks, water, wine, beer etc.

Don't remember the cost for entering the poolarea but it wasn't expensive.

Being rather critical of accommodation in my own country, I must say I was more than pleasantly surprised after spending a short vacation in this small hotel.
The staff is very friendly and polite, the hotel is very well maintained and clean. The surrounding area is peaceful, with lots of roses and flowers. Next to the hotel, there is a restaurant called Vajat, which offers great national food .Other than that, you can enjoy fresh, clean air, birds, and green Sumadija grass and trees.
Less than 70 km from Belgrade, I would recommend it for a weekend which will include a good night sleep, delicious food and splashing in a properly sized swimming pool.
You can also visit the nearby town, Topola , the residence and vineyards of former Serbian royal family.

Room tip: Бунгало там дешевле, но не очень удобно жить в них - ванная узкая, на первом этаже очень низко.
