We insisted on eating lunch at this restaurant on an August day without being allowed to reserve, so eventually we ended up waiting for over an hour. We had been warned, though, so cannot complain too much.
It was generally worth it, as the place offers a nice vibe in the centre of Porto Covo, good traditional Portuguese food and drinks with reasonable prices.
We had octopus, cod and sardines, which were all good, however not exceptional. Food served to other tables also looked good.
The white wine was great as well as the dessert (biscuit cake).
Generally recommend, but better skip it on busy days.

TERRIBLE SERVICE.
Seems to be a constant for Brazilians - most one star reviews stating arrogance, rudeness and poor service are from Brazilians. This says a lot about the spirit of the service at this place. Food was amazing, my compliments to the chef, but it was amazing in the neighboring restaurants as well - without the taste of racism being left for desert.

Best restaurant in Porto Covo. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is of great quality and very well prepared. Real home made food! In high season I suggest you book table a few days in advance because this place is always busy.

This is a nice place. Very friendly staff.
We had Octopus and pork with clams. I was expecting a higher quality. They were both good but just not great. The clams were great but there were only six.
Wine was nice.
Staff was very nice.
The people next to us waited a very long time for their food but ours was good timing.
Maybe just an off night.

Probably the best restaurant in Porto Covo. Popular among locals. Very good tapas, delicious octopus, perfect black pork and very tasty vegetables. We were three people and shared three generous dishes.
Good local wine, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended,
