This restaurant is too pricey for the quality of the sangria or food provided. You have other options in Porto Covô, which besides being cheaper are amazing in quality.

This is the worst meal we have had for a long time. I regret not looking up Tripadvisor before we sat down.

We asked two meals of ameijoa a bulhao pato and one of shrimps. The bulhao pato sauce has nothing to do with the true sauce, and was just bad. The shrimps, with a basic taste, were so few that the four of us weren't able to eat 2 each. The bathroom was awfull, and the ambience was just vulgar. Thid restaurant will go bankrupt doon enough.

Went here for nearly every meal while I stayed in Porto covo! Fantastic atmosphere with lovely staff. Every time I needed a new drink they were there asking and making me feel relaxed. Food was lovely I had soup to start and chicken and chips for main with some prawns on the side. All delicious. I highly recommend this place for an evening meal during your stay.

When visiting Porto Covo for one night, we were looking for a typical cuisine of the Alentejo region. At Hortela Da Ribeira we found the perfect place. We ordered the baby squid and the rich tomato soup with fish, recommended by the chef, and we were told that this was a 30-year old, family-run business, where the owner's wife prepared the dishes with her sister's old recipies. We were surprised that not more customers had discovered this treasure! Most likely the best place in town. Highly recommended.
