We booked a dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We were not guests at the hotel but the person who took our reservation, Nidhi, made sure WE KNEW that we were going to be treated different from the hotel guests. She told us that the restaurant was open till 1030, we won't be entertained after 10. Despite that phone call we still decided to drive 45 minutes for dinner at Chidya Ghar, giving them the benefit of the doubt. My wife requested a glass of rose, they were out of an open bottle of rose, so Nidhi came to our table and told us that they were opening a new bottle because of us. Out of all the 5-star establishments we've ever visited or stayed at, we never had a member of staff say something like this or act like we were an inconvenience to an empty restaurant. The ambiance was ok, did not resemble anything close to the standard of a 5-star hotel. The food was nice, but nothing to brag about. The drinks were overpriced, my sad expensive cocktail didn't bother to have ice. Our only saving grace for the evening was Susila. She made us feel comfortable and was attentive to our needs. Her professional yet cheerful demeanor definitely lit up our evening. Thank you Susila for making us feel special on our anniversary.
