The Hotel Manoir Victoria is a very modern comfortable hotel located within the walls of the old town of Quebec. The hotel is contained within renovated premises - which accounts for some odd twists and turns in the building, but for these, I suspect, the property would be rated 5 star. The hotel is very professionally operated and good quality bars and restaurants are contained within the hotel, while many more cafes, restaurants and shops are within walking distance, as are many of the sights of Quebec city. Only downsides are the stairs up to reception and limited lift capacity. Otherwise wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

After reading the reviews I was very nervous about that flight of stairs but I assure you that its nothing to fret about. Its just a regular flight of stairs that lead up to the lobby and check in desk. If you are of decent health and stamina that flight of stairs is no biggie. Even my senior parents had no issue walking up this flight of stairs, and there was a bellman to help my dad with the luggage that was heavy. If you dont want to deal with the stairs you can enter/leave through the restaurant on Rue St Jean. Our rooms faced the Rue St. Jean. We had the option of having the windows open or shutting them with the AC on.
Rooms were very clean and updated ! Would def recommend! Only complaint was wifi was kinda weak so our kids couldnt stream their YouTube , but who cares?! lol

My friend and I had a queen delux room on the 4th floor. Our windows overlooked Rue Saint Jean street . In the evening the street became pedestrian only and featured entertainment. The street offers many cafes and shops. It is only a short walk up to one of the city gates. We had the breakfast buffet at the hotel 2 mornings which featured anything one could desire. One morning we ate at the bistro at the hotel entrance. Wonderful quiche and pastries and coffee. Our last evening we ate at Chez Boulay. The french onion soup is a must try. Not like anything I have ever had. Yummy! We had the salmon entre. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Our room was clean. Location was excellent.

Everything was Ok except the Room air conditioning was very noisy. ( Room 209) also when I booked online the room suppose to have a city view, when we get there they change the room and gave us a room with no view at all.

Stayed for 4 nights in February 2018 for a wedding and loved the central location of this hotel. Rooms were modern and clean, and a competitive price. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful, especially since we don't speak French. Cleaning staff was so busy one day that they didn't make it to our room, but that type of thing doesn't bother me much - we could have called, but we were so busy that I didn't care.
You must try the hotel restaurant (we had an amazing dinner as part of the wedding reception) or the cafe, which is on the first floor - Chez Boulay Comptoir Boréal-- and has amazing soups, croissants, and desserts. The food is the true star!
