Absolutely perfect location in old Quebec city. So easy to explore everywhere from the fort to the old town. And what an impressive sight the hotel is looking at it from any side perched on the top of the hill, a photo op from anywhere in the town. The staff were warm and welcoming. The downstairs lobby is gorgeous, beautifully appointed through out. There is considerable history associated with many of the meeting rooms, it would be well worth taking the tour if you have time. Sadly, despite a lovely river view my room did not match the public areas. It was very tired looking with a tiny dismal bathroom. One of our party had a view overlooking the loading docks so can't give it five stars!

Room tip: Higher floors have less city noise

Stayed at Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac for a conference. The hotel is spectacular. The historical artifacts placed throughout the hotel are incredible. The housekeeping is superb and everyone of the employees has gone over and above helping me in anyway. I had a river and boardwalk view. Fantastic!

Room tip: Stairs sometimes lead to no where.

The concierge Iris was excellent in making suggestions for dinner and things to do. She was in contact with us by email before we left home and made the two dinner reservations for us. They were both great and we made sure to thank her. When we checked in we asked Christina about WiFi and she gave us the code needed for free WiFi so we didn't have to pay. Everyone we spoke to was a font of knowledge and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Hotel was in a perfect area of Old Quebec City. Starbucks on premises with outdoor seating area was a nice way to start the day

We recently returned from a three night stay in the Chateau Frontenac. In my opinion (which is not unique to myself), this is the only place to stay in Quebec City. The hotel itself is a site to see, the location is unbeatable, and it does feel like a Beauty and the Beast set. Our room was in a turret (seriously). The rooms have been redone (ours had a marble bathroom and updated furnishings). I was concerned that the hotel would be outdated and "banking" off of its location, which was fortunately not the case. We asked for restaurant recommendations from the concierge and she was quite helpful.

That said, please keep in mind that this is one of the top sites in the city. The lobby is incredibly crowded (completely understandably), as are the restaurants. The hotel does a good job walking the line between luxury hotel and giving back to the community with exhibits about its history (and the more pragmatic public restroom). But, as a guest, do not expect to have the place to yourself.

Room tip: Some rooms are far from the elevator - be specific if difficulty walking, babies, etc.

This was a true 5 Star experience....everything was wonderful. The service, the accommodations and all the restaurants were wonderful. This is a grand old hotel, redone to the max in the style of yesteryear. The atmosphere and ambiance make the hotel very welcoming.
