The hotel was located a short walk from a major shopping mall and provided easy access to highways and restaurants. The hotel foyer was very modern and inviting. The check-in process was very quick, and the front desk staff was very courteous. The fireplace at the entrance was very cozy, providing much-needed warmth from the freezing temperatures. Our room was clean and spacious.
The bed itself was not very comfortable. We had queen size beds with soft mattresses. With two adults on the bed, the mattress would force both into the centre--not very comfortable. The heater in the room was very loud and also provided way too much heat, despite adjusting the setting to a low temperature. The bathroom door would not lock, and the noise level outside our room was very disruptive.
The Continental breakfast was lacking in variety. Our two children were quite disappointed expecting to have more choice. There was a lot of basic bread items, plain cereals, over-ripened bananas, hard boiled eggs, some spreads, and a large bowl of yogurt. I would recommend they broaden their selection to include baked goods (danish, croissant, muffins, etc.), oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. We ended up having to bring our children to another location for breakfast.

This modern hotel just outside of Quebec city is a good option for a few nights stay in Quebec.
The lobby was clean and has a very modern feel.
Our standard room was clean, bed was comfortable, linen was new.
The bathroom was a good size. Bathroom linen were in good condition. The water pressure, and temperature was very good. Bathroom supplies offered were sufficient.
We paid 138.00 for a standard room two double beds for the night , which is a reasonable price for the area.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
The negatives are as follows
I found the entire hotel poorly lit. I think the lighting was done this way for the modern feel that the hotel is going for,but I would have liked the reception desk to be better lighted, and better lighting in the rooms.
I found our standard room a little small for my taste.
The breakfast offered was very disappointing. All carb breakfast, bread, and cold cereal that was about all there was.
How about some yogurt, hot oatmeal, larger selection of fruit and cheeses?
It is not hard to provide a nice breakfast, this hotel fails on this point.
Overall this hotel is a good choice. You are a short drive from Old Quebec and all its attractions. There is a large mall just across the street. Lots of fair priced restaurants in the area. Price for a room is reasonable for area.

Staying here a few times in september. Clean and spacious rooms. Easy parking. Close to shopping center and movie theater. All in all, pretty good. The breakfast is ....ok.... the location is convienient and easy to get in and out. At a good price, I wouldn't hesitate.
We at Grand TIMES hotel want you to know that we appreciate your business and will continue to do everything we can to meet your personal needs every time you visit our city. Once again, thank you for the time you took to write this comment

My husband and I along with our 16 yr old son stayed here for a weekend in September. The hotel is clean and modern. The staff are all quite friendly and speak English ( our French is terrible!). Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Although I'm not a fan of modern décor, it was still quite nice and comfy. The only hick-up I had was completely my fault. I couldn't find the electrical plug-in in the bathroom and was drying my hair (with the included blow-dryer) in the entry way mirror. My husband moved the towels stacked neatly on the vanity and found the plug-in. There is a VERY small heated in-door pool but no hot tub. Breakfast is included and consisted of basic toast, bagels and cereal. I believe they have eggs during the week but could be wrong about that. The hotel is directly across from a large shopping mall where we went to purchase cups for drinks. The glasses in the room were quite small. There are also several chain restaurants as well as some smaller ones in close proximity. While we could have walked to them, we chose to drive. It was a very easy drive to Old Quebec City (only about 20 mins) and found ample parking both there and at the hotel. I would definitely stay here again!!
Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback on your stay. We are certain your fellow travellers will appreciate it. Our entire staff was certainly pleased to have you as our guest here in the hotel and appreciate dearly the positive comments you provided.
Once again, thank you to have chosen Grand Times Hôtel for your stay in Quebec. Hoping to have the chance to welcome you again for a further stay.

We needed a place to stay after leaving a cruise in Quebec City and read the reviews on this website. They were right, this was a great. Hotel near the airport. Our only surprise was the distance from the port. The Taxi fare was 30.00. Since we wanted to walk old town it was an additional 60.00 to go out and return to the hotel. We looked at the price as another shore excursion.
The hotel also was accommodating enough to provide an airport shuttle at 3:30 am for just 15.00 and coffee was available at that hour. I am sure you would have a grand time visiting this hotel, we did.
On behalf of our sister property located near the airport, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your wonderfu review and for taking the time to share with us your experience during your stay but especially with our future customers. We have passed a copy of your testimonial to all those who have taken part in making your stay memorable.
Once again, thank you for the time you took to write this comment. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again for a further stay in one of our four locations, Québec, Sherbrooke, Drummondville and L'Ancienne-Lorette.
