My family and I stayed for a couple of nights last week. Check-in was smooth, and the staff extremely friendly. We had a one bedroom room/mini-apartment which was very comfortable.

I often feel that it is even safer to judge an establishment with how it handles problems (which, let's face it, could happen anywhere.) In this case, we had an issue with a broken sofa bed quite late into the evening. The problem could not be fixed that night (although the technician tried valiantly) and we were immediately offered another room. It was too late to move the kids, but the following morning we were given profuse apologies and moved to a better apartment. It was all handled extremely courteously and efficiently, and the staff showed genuine concern. They were all EXCELLENT.

On other matters, I should say location could hardly be better. It is a ten minute walk to the old town and its attractions and five minutes to the opera area (Place des Spectacles.) The main shopping malls and the. Latin and Chinese Quarters are also close by.

The range at breakfast could perhaps be a little wider, but what was there was all good and more than satisfying.

Car parking is available under the hotel (at a charge more or less in line with Canadian city averages.)

Overall, a very good place to stay with family on a short city break.

Checked in about 2 hours prior to check in time, our room wasn't ready and we were told we'd have to come back in about an hour to check in (which was fine, me and my friend just went for a walk). We came back an hour later and our room wasn't ready but after 5 minutes, we were able to check in. The hotel is ok, rooms look a bit dated, we did have a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a stovetop, but there are no cookware, plates or kitchenware. The bathroom was impeccable. We missed the breakfast in the morning but that was our fault (forgot to put an alarm). It would probably have brought my review to 4 star. I would come back if I was around and the prices were still reasonable.

Overall, the place is not bad.It was owned by holiday-inn in the past. The front desk is updated to a modern rustic vibe.It was a quick check-in and the staff are nice. They also offer free printing service which we needed for our immigration business that we attended to.We were not able to eat for breakfast but the dining seemed cleaned. The elevators are fast and you need your card to make it function.
The rooms are very spacious. We are able to a get a suite. Technically they gave us an apartment size room.We have our own bedroom,a living room,a lil kitchen and bathroom. The room is actually a lil dark but it was good if you like dark rooms for sleeping. The rooms are outdated. Wish they have renovated it like downstairs. It would’ve been a 5 star for me because of the size but the old air conditioner made our night bad.We needed good night sleep byt the machine was so old that it made sounds everytime. We wake up everytime. And it pissed us off. The sofa is old as well. But it’s only a block away from Chinatown which is okay if you’re looking for a place to eat.Overall, it is a good place to stay in for a night. It may need w little TLC because it’s old but doable.

The hotel must improve.Poor breakfast for the value that is paid, little lighting in the room, it is a suicide to shave, the bathroom needs an improvement already, it is very old and you need a good walk to get to the old port, which is as close.
