Dog friendly hotel and no extra charge. Parking on site for a fee. Room was clean and comfortable. Walk across the street to stroll along the beach walk. Restaurant is good and offers room service. Great wifi and staff was very helpful and friendly

We completely enjoyed our stay in the king suite.
I will say that the walls were very thin and we could hear (not quite word for word) our neighbours, which did not bother us, but may bother some travellers. Also, there was what seemed to be mouse traps behind the furniture, which I was very nervous about (I hate mice, especially if I’m spending $200 to sleep somewhere). But we did not see or hear any mice during our stay! (Thank goodness!).
The front staff was super kind and helpful. And I would happily recommend this hotel as a nice, historical option.

We've known that the Sylvia hotel is iconic for decades, visiting the restaurant and lounge regularly. To celebrate our Mom's 80th birthday we decided to stay at the hotel (rather than travel given the current restrictions) and it was incredible!! The English Bay Suite is spectacular and all the staff and team are helpful, so personable and genuine. We created amazing memories and maybe a new tradition :)
