Best canyon I've seen in Alberta, stunning views and potholes carved into the rocks. We went a week after the snow and ice had melted, some was still left but overall the river was flowing full blast. There are spots where you can go off the path and walk across the river or to swimming holes. Water was freezing (glacier ice melt) but we took off our shoes and stuck our feet in. Perfect walk for beginners and those not prepared to go far from civilization. Not for very young children/strollers as there is lots of bumpy terrain and hills.

very interesting and free. Wear hiking boots as the paths were slippery in a lot of areas. Several bridges cross the canyon which gives excellent views. Hike is set up for a variety of skill levels

We had such amazing day at Maligne Canyon. We were there for the first snowfall of the season, which made it even more exciting!

Fabulous, beautiful walks and hikes. Stunning and well worth the trip. It was frozen when we were there which was amazing.

Beautiful place. Could be a great hike and the scenery is beautiful. Due to a recent injury I was not able to hike far but enjoyed what I was able to do. My dog also enjoyed the walk. Would love to come back.
