The smaller sized bus was definitely a plus for adding extra stops during the day. The driver was very knowledgeable and talked throughout the trip about the history of the park and the local area. One complaint was - don't sit in the back row of the 12-seater bus, it is very uncomfortable.
Highlight of Canadian trip with fantastic views and time to enjoy everything. The only down was our very informative tour driver became tired and less friendly towards the end of the trip...she had to keep driving while her passengers slept!
Our guide In an was great! Very informative, knew a lot of the history of the area. Beautiful views! Highly recommend.
I am very happy that you enjoyed your day with us. Thank you for the kind words.
This was the first tour I booked through TripAdvisor and was pleased with the whole process. Booking was simple and the tour was wonderful! Ian was our guide and he was very informative and friendly. We got on the tour at the Calgary Tower stop and we departed on time. We had a few issues finding one of the group members at another stop and got started on the tour a bit late. However, we didn't miss any stops and had plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy the views at each place.
When we arrived in downtown Banff the driver gave us several recommendations for food. There was ample time for a sit down meal and some shopping. It was a really wonderful way to see the beauty of the area in a one day trip.
Highly recommended!!!
I am very happy that you enjoyed your day with us. Thank you for the comments! I will most certainly pass on your comments to Ian.
Ian, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the area. This is a great way to get a taste of the National Park if you aren't hiring a car but bear in mind that they can't possibly show you as much as if you were driving yourself! It certainly made us keen to go back and spend more time in the areas we visited and more off the beaten track places in future.
Don't forget that the altitude means that it can be a lot colder in the National Park than it is in Calgary, so take your gloves if going in autumn!
I am very glad that you enjoyed your day in Banff National Park. Your tip about the gloves is excellent as yes it usually is cooler in the mountains than in Calgary. I will pass along your comments to Ian as well.
I’d tou don’t have your own car - do this you will enjoy it...
There are so many thing to do and see here - the car is key...
Thank you for the review. Taking a tour like ours everyone can see the beauty around them. Being a driver in a car, you miss some scenes. Glad you enjoyed it.
