Called in for a lunch and chill out in the lovely garden on a sunny day. What better way to spend a couple of hours in really hot weather only a mile away from Alresford town centre. Tichborne is a quiet village hamlet with the right priorities, just the Tichborne Arms and nothing else except wonderful countryside for walks and cyclists. The service was excellent and the food superb. GS

Always loved this pub when I lived on the area, and delighted to find it is still as good.
Visited with family today for lunch and it would be hard to find a more idyllic setting on a summer day. The food was good too and no pub is complete without a couple of nice dogs!

Pubs as good as this are getting harder to find, nestled comfortably in the lovely village of Tichborne, the Tichborne arms is as charming inside as it is outside. They offer a really good range of well kept ales and a nice varied menu that is neither too pricey or too pretentious. Our food was excellent, but beware of the puddings as the portion size is massive, if you find yourself struggling there are a couple of very willing helpers with waggy tails only too pleased to be your friend.
Great pub and we look forward to visiting again.

“What a Gem, located in lovely chocolate box countryside.
We phoned ahead out of courtesy, Patrick the landlord was more than happy for us to come and stopover for the night. The pub is lovely, the staff are great and very friendly, thanks to Tasha (working the bar) and Ricky (Chef) for a wonderful meal! The locals were chatty towards us as well. all in all a very friendly and lovely place to stopover. Had a nice chat with Patrick, who once owned his own motorhome, so is well accepting of the needs of the motorhomer. There is an outside tap available for water with a hose attached as well as the pub toilets which are unlocked overnight for use if required. You can empty your waste cassette in the outside toilet also. A lovely nights sleep in the very quiet pub car park, awoken in the morning by the cows in the field behind (it was 08:30 anyway) no pressure to leave early, so we enjoyed the countryside air and watching the squirrels and Grouse wander around near our van.
A lovely welcoming and homely place to stopover. Thank you Patrick, very much appreciated!”

A group of us stopped for lunch half way through a 60 mile bike ride. The beer was very welcome and well kept. Our food, ranging from sandwiches to a full meat pie and veg meal was really good. Service was friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. This is a really good pub and highly recommended. Some of our friends stopped in pubs a little further on in Cheriton and Beauworth and were not made welcome at all. We struck lucky.
