Description: Built in 1271, The Tinners Arms has been at the heart of village life in Zennor for over 700 years. Originally built to accommodate the masons who constructed St Senara’s Church, famous for its mermaid, you’ll find little has changed over the years. Modern life slips away as you step inside. Join a friendly mix of regulars, visitors, families and walkers (often with a well-natured dog or two in tow) in the cosy bar or the light and airy dining room. Or spill out into the sunny garden with views to the rugged Atlantic coastline. Stay on and settle in by the roaring fire for a legendary Tinners Thursday Folk Night session. “At Zennor one sees infinite Atlantic, all peacock-mingled colours, and the gorse is sunshine itself. Zennor is a most beautiful place: a tiny granite village nestling under high shaggy moor-hills and a big sweep of lovely sea beyond, such a lovely sea, lovelier even than the Mediterranean… It is the best place I have been in, I think” – D. H. Lawrence, 1916.

We've been to The Tinners a few times over the years whilst on holiday. A great place for a welcome rest on walk from St Ives to Zennor and return. Sandwiches and lager/cider reasonably priced and quickly served by friendly staff. A shame there wasn't a similar venue half way back to St Ives!!!

We went here for dinner and had an excellent meal, the mackerel and sweet potato chips were perfectly done and a winning combination. Friendly helpful service and a wonderful atmosphere. We'll definitely be back

Lunch at The Tinners, where we have been many times for many years. A rather disappointing visit, the menu was not stunning in its choices, the mackerel for the salad had obviously been on a diet and the chips were lacklustre. I prefer chips that are made from whole potatoes and not coated with powdery substance. I expect I will try again next year!

We had the best summer evening at the Tinners. We've been here in all seasons. Winter in the cosy bar by the fire, spring drinks outside after a coast walk. Last night a true Cornish sunset sky with swallows overhead kept us happily sitting outside till late. Great food, especially the desserts! Thanks guys.

Whenever we are in St. Ives we always take a short drive to Zennor to visit The Tinners Arms. We always find this traditional pub a pleasure, good food, good and friendly service and picturesque location says it all. The old church is also well worth a visit.
