We booked a kayaking trip with Reine Paddling back in June 2020 during a visit to Lofoten after reading amazing reviews about this company.

Unfortunately our trip was cancelled the morning of due to very windy/stormy conditions. We were supposed to go out paddling with Roman, who was so lovely & professional: he called us the evening before to warn about the bad weather, and met us at the arranged time that morning, offering us coffee while we waited to see if the winds would die down. Unfortunately the wind remained too strong, so in the end we had to cancel the trip and Roman reassured us that we would receive a refund. We left very happy (nobody can control the weather!) and decided we would just have to come back again another time.

My reason for my 1 star "terrible" review is the service I have received since, or lack thereof. It is now February 2021 and I am STILL chasing the refund from June 2020. I chased in early July when no refund came through. We received a response in late July saying the refund had been processed, but when the funds were still not received we followed up. After many email chasers, we finally received the next reply in September 2020 saying they would "come back to us soon". Now it is February 2021 and we are still waiting for a reply - there's been zero communication singe then - despite monthly emails, countless calls & many voicemails. I even asked my Norwegian boyfriend to try and get in touch in case there was a language barrier, and despite him also calling, emailing & leaving voicemails we still haven't heard anything.

It is so unprofessional to not repond to a customer, I'm really disappointed.
