Hyatt Ziva Cabo was amazing. The staff, rooms and entertainment were top notch. The food was excellent as well EXCEPT the Hacienda Steak House. Food was cold, took forever to get to the table and not what it was supposed to be.

It is a true delight to know by your wonderful comments that the quality and taste of the food truly exceeded your expectations, as well as the genuine service from the heart and the entertainment at the Resort. On the other hand, we want to apologize for the service you received at the restaurant as it is not the usual service that distinguished us.

On behalf of Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos colleagues, we genuinely hope this incident does not diminish your preference for Hyatt and wish to have the opportunity to welcome you again soon and showcase improvements.

We really enjoyed the 5 different restaurants and the taco cart around the pool. Our Oceanview King Suite had the biggest bed I've ever seen! It would be nice to get some movie channels, since most of the TV stations are in Spanish, but that's a little thing. Great location and beautiful grounds.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. The staff was wonderful and were some of the kindest people. Everyone was so lovely and helpful and the resort is very clean and well taken care of. The front desk staff was so helpful when we asked to upgrade our room and we ended up getting an amazing pool and ocean view room. While normally I don't care about the view since I'm not in the room, this was SO worth it. Every morning we got up and sat on our balcony and watched the sunrise and the ocean. The buffet food was surprisingly very good (and I'm normally not a buffet fan). The Spanish restaurant (El Cortijo) was not my favorite, but we also got there very late. My friends said the Asian restaurant (DoZo) and the Steakhouse (La Hacienda) were very good. The tacos and ceviche at the Coco Loco Snack Bar were really, really good. The resort did a fun outdoor party with food and music and entertainment on the Friday night we were there. This resort is absolutely beautiful and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only downside is that the ocean is not calm on this side of Cabo, so you can't really do any swimming or lounging in the ocean. However, the pools are great. It was not an issue for us. I will definitely be back!!

Room Tip: get the ocean/pool view if possible! it's worth it!

From the second we got dropped off from the airport the Ziva Los Cabos staff was very friendly and welcoming. We felt very safe the whole trip. The resort is extremely beautiful and clean. We went the last part of May, which I highly recommend because the resort was 50% full and no major corporate parties or weddings.

This resort is in San Jose and is 30 minute cab ride (40$ us dollars) to get to Cabo San Lucus where the marina is, lovers beach, snorkeling, deep sea fishing ect. Cabo is where the party is at with fun places like the Office, Mango, senior frogs and Cabo Wabo. Worth going to for 1-2 of the days.

Check In: It was our anniversary so we got the Club room. This came with separate check in area, which we were welcomed with a drink. Then Omar gave us a personal tour of the resort. It also gave you access to the Club level dining. It is a medium size area that has personal bar tender, breakfast, snacks, lunch and apps. It is on the 4th floor of the main building and has a wonderful balcony.

Room:
We stayed in a Club Master Ocean View. Ask for building 3. It was wonderful, we could sit on our balcony and listen to the ocean waves. The bathrooms are spacious with toilet, 2 sinks, then the shower is tiled next to the tub and the wall is retractable so you can see the ocean while you shower. Very clean.

Pool:
Main pool in the center and the swim up bar is with the infinity pool. There is a sign that you can't save chairs, but everyone does. The cabanas are for rental, but I would suggest booking those the second you check in if you want one. There is a adult only pool which doesn't have a view of the ocean, but has nicer chairs and more shade. Waiters are always walking around for drink orders and you can order food form the snack bar from (Get the chips and guac, not the queso its like a melted yellow cheese)

Food:
I have been to all inclusive resorts before and the food was just so so. Not here the restaurants are amazing. It is first come first serve, but you can go early to put your name in.
Favorites in order: DoZo (Teppanyaki Grill and the longest wait time), Bon Vivant (French, the fanciest one and know it will take 1-2 hours for a fine dining experience), Zaffiron (Italian, on the beach with excellent calamari and wood fire pizza). We went up to the club level each morning for a mimosa and a light breakfast.
Coffee Bar: AMAZING, any coffee and desserts!
*Tip: If you are a wine lover their house wines are barley drinkable. We brought two nice bottles in our luggage and they will open them for free at dinner. Else any other wine is about 4x the price at the restaurant.
Entertainment:
This would be my only complaint. Unless you are constantly reading their schedule activities and entertainment are not advertised. We never new how or what to participate in the exercise actives in the morning (Tried the Floating Yoga in the pool was fun) There is not a lot of day activities, and the evening shows are not what I would go to. YOU CAN NOT SWIM IN THE OCEAN. If you are wanting to be in the ocean you will have to take a 30 minute cab ride to cabo san locus.

Room Tip: Building 3, above floor 3. The third level is the main level lots of walking by the rooms.
