Had lunch at the Villa Maria with some friends visiting from Peru... well located in Polanco, clearly designed to service foreign visitors... provides a high end Mexican restaurant experience... nicely decorated, comfortable, friendly service, a wide selection of drinks (a rainbow of Margaritas) and menu packed with the usual Mexican options... very well crafted and served... however, you can get same or better options in many other restaurants at a more reasonable price... live Mariachi music, so expect to have a noisy experience, and makes conversation a little difficult... in my opinion, the Bajio restaurant is far better at lower prices, but the overall experience here is good, more if you want to share with friends visiting Mexico

Had dinner here with some colleagues last week, super cool place, very traditional and open layout with the mariachi that roam around and provide fantastic performances. Food was very good, the chips and salsa to start were very unique and tasty. Got me a Magna Margarita with Mezcal which was great too - HUGE. Would highly recommend.

We had a nice team dinner in Santa Fe near our office and we were delighted by nice mexican food and a unique Tamarind Magharita! It was delicious. I had the medailonnes tequila and it was very special, although it did not taste too much like Tequila. The mariachi band was fantastic and we all had a very good wine. There was also a very good Mexican Malbec wine, but I forgot the wine. It was from the one of the oldest wineries in the Americas and really nice. We had Argentinian colleagues with us and they agreed, which means a lot when talking about a Malbec!

We ate here for a casual business dinner. It can get a little noisy when the mariachis are playing, but it adds to the fun and atmosphere. They weren’t pushy or overwhelming. The food was delicious! Guacamole and shrimp tacos were my favorites. Some of our team liked the crickets but I didn’t try them :). Beware! There was nothing “medium” about the medium margarita!! It was huge and delicious!!!

Good Mexican food, great service and a fun atmosphere, with most of the crowd local families, with lively music and a feeling of hospitality. Though on the dear side by local standards, it is still very affordable for gringos...
