Highly recommended! Beautiful cave , an interesting trip with the guide ( in Italian and English) . Tour lasts about 1 hour. The tours begin at every full hour I believe first one is at 10:00am and the last one starts at 5pm.
There is a stable temperature inside the cave of 11 degrees Celsius / 51 Fahrenheit all year round . Comfortable shoes are required. There are 500 steps down and 500 steps up so be prepared for quite a long walk - totally worth it !

Great cave, huge, excellent guide, also in English. The prices are very reasonable for such a place. The whole guided tour lasts about an hour. If going during summer, don't forget to wear long sleeves because it is chilly in there!

My husband and I (age 64), loved touring the cave and had no trouble traversing the 500 steps each way. We have been walking a lot in Venice and Trieste. I would not recommend this for anyone has any issues walking and climbing steep grades.
An old couple with young children insisted on butting to the head of the group as the tour began. As a result the rest of us had to wait for them to slowly walk down. We got ahead of them finally. So please be mindful of others in that respect.
This site is also not meant for toddlers or babies even if you carry them. One toddler freaked out at the beginning and cried so, that the guide could not be heard. Thankfully the mother stayed back with him and did not take the tour.
Our guide did an excellent job of speaking in Italian and then in English.

A huge cave (supposedly the St. Peter church of Vatican City gets inside!), not a lot of stalactites/mites, but still a nice one hour tour in Italian an English.

This cave is not for people with weak knees, or walking disability, because of the 500 steps, both up and down.
The guide we had was very good. He started the Italian tour 5 min. Before ours, and then when we walked, he would explain in Italian, and vice versa. His English was also very good. He explained a bit, and if we wanted to ask questions, he would happily answer it.
And the cave itself is well worth the 500 steps down and up. It's very beautiful.
