Very cozy place to discover with a cultural bonus

Well decorated, excellent food (we also enjoyed very much their Sunday brunch). First nations ambiance very present. Was there during winter (last Xmas) and in the summer. Nice stay during both season's.
Date of stay: December 2017
Room Tip: In the summer ask for a room with patio, facing the little river. Best ever fresh green peas...

Loved this experience. We choose to have the midrange room that came with a balcony and loved it. We also did the jewelry making with Deanne which was fantastic. She is the face of Wendake - on all the pamphlets and the tour buses.

We did not do a lot of the activities, such as the spa, museum and longhouse as we are planning to come back in the fall with our children. We did however watch families go to the longhouse for a nights stay and toured around the exterior of the longhouse. It was enough to help us decide to book with our children for another time.

We did tour old Quebec - there is a shuttle you can take from the hotel right to old Quebec. The ticket is $10 return - do this - it is so much easier than worrying about parking or driving through the narrow one way streets.

The staff were all fantastic and welcoming. There is a big hearth in the lobby. Jean-Simon at the front desk is a pro at lighting it and making you feel at home. He helped make our stay. The restaurant staff are also quite nice and accommodating.

This is a definite must stay location. Wendake, also has some great tourism attractions and restaurants within walking distance. Check out Sagamite restaurant - it was incredible.

Oh also walk behind the hotel - there is a beautiful trail that leads to and along the river and also take part in the 3 o’clock tea in the lobby!

Had a very nice stay, but the smell of campfire was all around the hotel. We couldn't open our window or even use the ac because there was a campfire outside our room. Were very happy it started raining and the only fire was in the lobby :-)
Rooms are decorated very nicely. Museum was wellworth the visit as well as the stroll to the waterfall. Also not far from downtown Quebec.

I went with my dog. The dog Was suppose to cost only 15 but cost 57$ Got there we had to pay for spa 50$ and pay for museum. 17$ I have never seen this in my life. Usually when you book a hotel and spa the spa isint an extra charge. Lady at front desk had the worst of attitudes. So rude. Check out is at 12 by 12:03 my card didn’t let me in room. Loud hallways. Garbage was left in hallways all day and all night people ordered food and put there garbage outside the door and by the next day it was still there . Hotel Smelled like bbq sauce all day. I literally booked this place for a cultural experience and ended up with just a regular room at 200$ don’t expect to see any culture.

Kwe, hello
We are really sorry to hear that your stay was not pleasant. Experience and customer service is a priority for us and we will make sure to follow up properly with our departments. The only point to note is that the spa is a private company that manages all of its operations, that's why it is not free for hotel guests. We sincerely hope to welcome you again to make you live a unique experience.

This hotel is in a very quiet town near a river. There are walks and a waterfall nearby which is worth visiting. The rooms are modern, the beds are comfy and the decoration is unique. We stayed here three nights and it has been great. Even if you were to sleep with your window open, the only noise you would hear would be from the nearby river which you can see from most if not all rooms

Our room was pleasant, worth the price, with the added bonus of a view of the river and the longhouse. The sound of the river added to the ambience. The food was wonderful. This will be a regular stop for me.
