Loved this experience. We choose to have the midrange room that came with a balcony and loved it. We also did the jewelry making with Deanne which was fantastic. She is the face of Wendake - on all the pamphlets and the tour buses.
We did not do a lot of the activities, such as the spa, museum and longhouse as we are planning to come back in the fall with our children. We did however watch families go to the longhouse for a nights stay and toured around the exterior of the longhouse. It was enough to help us decide to book with our children for another time.
We did tour old Quebec - there is a shuttle you can take from the hotel right to old Quebec. The ticket is $10 return - do this - it is so much easier than worrying about parking or driving through the narrow one way streets.
The staff were all fantastic and welcoming. There is a big hearth in the lobby. Jean-Simon at the front desk is a pro at lighting it and making you feel at home. He helped make our stay. The restaurant staff are also quite nice and accommodating.
This is a definite must stay location. Wendake, also has some great tourism attractions and restaurants within walking distance. Check out Sagamite restaurant - it was incredible.
Oh also walk behind the hotel - there is a beautiful trail...Loved this experience. We choose to have the midrange room that came with a balcony and loved it. We also did the jewelry making with Deanne which was fantastic. She is the face of Wendake - on all the pamphlets and the tour buses.
