The hotel is refurbished from the old highland hotel and the owner has done a good job of making it cosy and nice. However, the layout cannot be changed so the bathroom is quite small for the price they charge. There were lots of wall (lighting) switched but are none work. you have to click the lamp switches and there is no central bedside master switch so you have to individually turn on and off for all the lights.
Do not expect a swimming pool and the hotel is a few KM walking to the nearest small town of Brinchang.
Had the steamboat dinner which was ok. Breakfast has different sets to choose and also have other stuff laid out for you in addition. The afternoon tea was RM60 per pax and it is actually good enough for 2 and scorn was pertty good.
The front desk staff and other staff are foreign. Indians and Manmar and you hardly find any locals.
Golf course is just across from the hotel and condition could have been better. Having temporary greens on a few and fairway has bare batched around. Ofcourse the weather is cool. During my visit, it ranges from 16c at night to high of 21c during the day.
TV channels are disappointing and not of HD quality.
It is just a hotel to sit back and do pretty much nothing.More
