I love this restaurant. We are only in Amble for four nights and have been twice. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the staff is excellent - the chef came out and chatted for a bit with us and his personality comes through in the food.
We had: silver hake with corn risotto, halibut with mussels, Stilton rarebit, sirloin, and the burger. And the best creme brûlée ever for dessert (the orange ginger version was my absolute favorite). The house white wine is also very good.
The plates are beautiful and taste as good as they look - you should definitely go!
