Wow, we did not do one excursion. This vacation was about relaxing. And that is what we did. We used the butler experience because of needing to eat Gluten Free. It did not disappoint!!! Food amazing, good drinks. Fun night club action.

Room Tip: Swim up!!! Amazing!!!

Wife & I took a quick 8 days to Sandals at Montego Bay. Flights were perfectly timed. Never more than 1 hour in airports. With our special room we were driven to the resort in a BMW. Butler escorted to a room 3 doors from our last stop. Great improvements made to grounds & rooms. New pool Just out our veranda. View to sea was great. Adult beverages in room. 7 restaurants and 3 pools. 84 degrees every day. Several choices for each meal. Food at any hour. People from home state abounded as well as London, Canada any many various states. Friendly teasing about sports teams always prevalent. Retiree dinner recognizes repeat ‘offenders’. I can not imagine a better way to break-up winter. Reserved rooms for 8 for next year. Red Lane Spa massages are great. Wow!

Room Tip: Try for sea view, the colors are terrific.

I came here in December for work and the property is overall a great choice. Montego Bay is a great central location for tours/excursions pick ups. While the location is very central and very convenient to get to/from the airport, you will hear airplane noises every hour or so. Not as frequent in the evenings.

You also have access to 2 other properties while staying here: Sandals Inn, which is as close as you'll get to the Hip Strip, and Sandals Royal Caribbean. Having access to 3 properties, gives you unlimited dining choices.

Great food on the property. I had some delicious jerk chicken at The Mariner seaside grill. The room was very comfy with shades of aqua that was relaxing. Lots of entertainment at the property, starting from the main lobby.

Just returned after an anniversary trip with my husband 1/27-2/7/18. This beautifully renovated resort has lots of options for all ages. We were in a 3rd floor suite in the Palms Building with a tranquility soaking tub on the balcony. It was centrally located with a beautiful ocean view that we never tired of. Rooms were pretty quiet.
BEACH: Nice, long beach with plenty of loungers & shade. Yes. The butlers reserve early in the morning. The big issue is people leaving the beach & not removing their towels making it difficult to identify the chairs as vacant. The additional beach areas created in 2017 made more space for swimming & sunbathing. Beautiful blue water & soft, white sand-what more could you want? Towels were plentiful.
POOLS: Didn't even dip a toe in the pools so can't really comment on this. We escape our cold New England weather specifically for the sea.
BARS: Enjoyed a variety of cocktails. Fairly quick service with a smile & there was also beach service-thanks Latoya & Terri Ann. We miss our favorite bar staff-Clayton, Jermaine, Cavin, Latoya, Camesha, Tanya, Steffon.
FOOD: Went to Bayside daily for the buffet breakfast. We enjoyed the variety & opportunity to try fruits native to Jamaica. Lunch was lacking. While we liked the pizza & the burgers (Oshane!) I really didn't like anything else enough to order it again. We ate at all the restaurants on site & rate them Oleander, Cucina Romana, Tokyo Joe's, Cricketers Pub, Stewfish & Bayside in that order. We also had our anniversary dinner at Le Jardiniere at SRC in a lovely garden setting.
HOUSEKEEPING: Very efficient w/plenty of towels & bath products. Coffee replaced daily. Thanks Jennifer. Turndown each evening (when we didn't retire early) was nice with the daily newsletter left with the next day's activities. In-room bar service by concierge was very good & we didn't go without anything. Left a note on day one to indicate the type of wine I like and to leave extra water. Our bar was replenished daily.
ENTERTAINMENT: We were entertained by Aleko, Ramone, Scion & Trish. Enjoyed their dancing on the beach by the Beach Bar. There was a good selection of Reggae music which is what we expect to hear in the Caribbean.
SSG dinner for returning guests was nice under the stars at Bayside. The menu was good & we were awarded our 2nd free week! The Diamond Luncheon at Oleander was a special lunch & a nice opportunity to meet with General Manager, Carl Belviere who filled us in on the upcoming plans for the resort. Heads up-this place is getting better all the time.
PLANES: Not an issue for us. The majority of the flights are on weekends. We actually enjoyed seeing them up close & didn't find the noise intrusive.
The only negative in my opinion is people not adhering to the smoking policy. There were plenty of designated smoking areas but we couldn't sit on the beach or our balcony without being assailed by other's smoke. There were many who complied but others clearly did not care & used the beautiful beach as their ash tray. Yech!
I definitely recommend this resort to others. I would like to thank our travel agent, Mike McHugh from Dream Makers Vacation Services for his assist with our booking. With his help-on to Barbados!

Room Tip: Really read your room category description so you know what amenities you will receive.
