As a resident here in a Jamaica,The Pelican was a regular Sunday morning ritual.Had great service, good food and reasonably priced.
Now,the portions are so small and ridiculously overpriced. We just came back today and had the ackee and salt fish breakfast,my daughter had French toast and 4 measly strands of bacon,$4075JD!!!!
Ackee & Saltfish was not good,no scotch bonnet. One Jonny cake, used to be two.It just feels like they are saving their costs on ingredients while ramping the price up.
Sadly,not what it once was.

For the long drive from Negril to Kingston we decided to stop here for a late lunch. The dinner rolls, stamp and go and shrimp spring rolls were a perfect quick starter. Very tasty. My group had pork chops, lobster and fish and everyone's plate was completely empty at the end. We indulged in devon house ice cream, chocolate cake and their famous milk shake.

My husband and I went for lunch and we were not disappointed! The oxtail was succulent paired nicely with rice peas. My sweet and sour chicken was tasty with creamy potatoes. This restaurant is our place whenever we are in Montego bay. If you are looking for real Jamaican food that's tasty.. and satisfying with decent portions then pelican is your place... we never leave this place disappointed.

I cannot go to Montego Bay without a visit to The Pelican Grill, even if only for the Pelican Rum Pudding. There is no other like it.
Recently tried the Jumbo Malt and now that is on the list of #MustHaves.

I love that this charming Family=Owned and operated restaurant has been around for decades, maintaining its original authenticity. There are staff members there for almost, if not as long as the restaurant has been around.
