Lot to do sit at the bar. Get great food. Or go out on the boat tour. Or you can go out in bounce or slide out back in tubes out back.

We arrived at Margaritaville Saturday, April 14th for a late lunch after our Catamaran Cruise with Chukka excursions. The climb up dunns river falls, snorkeling and partying on the boat itself made for a long morning/early afternoon therefore we were hungry and ready to get our eat on. Just as our party of 8 were seated, we were bombarded by a woman taking pictures - I assume she was selling...however, we didn't get a chance to see or purchase the picture we took - much less eat the food that we had ordered (pre boarding the cruise) due to a large tree falling on our table!! Guests of the restaurant were in a panic including the remaining attendees that were part of our catamaran cruise. My aunt was stuck under the tree but managed to get out with a scrape on her arm/elbow area to which only a bandaid was given to her AFTER she had to ask... Unfortunately, another woman was injured as well. This whole incident really put a damper on our entire afternoon we had such a great time on the cruise and were looking forward to what margaritaville had to offer. It's unfortunate that we were unable to enjoy our meal due to an ENTIRE TREE falling inside of the establishment. How can that be? We immediately evacuated the area and went back to the bus to go back to the hotel we were staying. There were no apologies or some sort of accommodation made for this eary event that occurred during our meal. I hope that going forward, Margaritaville takes the time out to inspect the property and ensure that no other old large trees fall onto restaurant guests...thank god the outcome wasn't much worse...

We usually sit at the bar and have our regular trusted bartenders taking care of us. Mark is pleasant and takes care of us.
I had the seafood chowder and the Lava Lava shrimp which was delicious and had the right amount of spice and seasonings.
I love the fact that it's such a laid back vibe and the drinks are cold and colorful. Always music playing and it is one of the best spots to see the sun setting on the hip strip of Montego Bay.

The least thing is sometimes the music is too loud that it makes it difficult to have a conversation.

Otherwise it is a fun island spot to chill at and enjoy some drinks and food.

Our sincerest apologies on your experience, as the General Manager I have noted where you are a regular patron to our establishment, in future if you are sitting on the main dining area you will find this area can become quite busy with entertainment. However we have our Chill Zone area upstairs, which has very little music and a calmer level of activity. Never-the-less, your feedback is well noted and has been addressed.

Margaritaville was the last portion of a day trip known as the Ketterman party boat. It was by far the worst part of our entire Jamaican holiday. The food was nasty, it tasted like it was reheated from a month prior. Within the large group, some ordered food that was not part of the day trip and it didn't look as gross however there was no compliments for this food.

Later my husband "tossed" his food --even though he hasn't done such a thing in over 30 years...

We will never eat here again.

Had dinner here after visiting the park. We were seated immediately and service was good. We ordered appetizers and dinner. One meal came out of the kitchen cold. The server removed it from our bill. There was absolutely nothing exceptional about the meal, and it was below average. Perhaps one needs something stronger than a beer or two to make it palatable.
