Went with family for lunch, Amazing view of the Malecon sitting outside with nice breeze. Lobster and fish dishes were excellent. Pina colada was excellent. Good service. Prices were very reasonable.

We only came here for a drink and enjoyed the calm atmosphere. Different to other Malecon places here you are a bit cut off the street without loosing too much sight. Did not taste any food.

Review purely about their mojitos.

Walking along the Malecon (towards central Havana) one evening we took a brief respite from the inclement weather in this bar. We'd tried mojitos at over a dozen establishments and theirs rated third-best. However, at only 2 CUCs their mojito was the best in Havana for value! Interesting to note, my wife's drink tasted stronger than mine!

Footnote: Having tried many drinks in Havana I'm sure that the quality of, say, a mojito depends upon a number of factors such as, the person making it, are they in a hurry?, etc.

Walking along the Malecón we saw this lonely restaurant call Cafe Neruda, so thought that we would have lunch here. It has an interesting and colourful entrance, with a basic bar and outside seating. We ordered shrimp cocktails, but for all the flavor that was in the dish it might just as well been made out of cardboard. and a strange fried sea food medley and basic pasta dish with cheese. The Staff were slow to serve, and seemed to be more for decoration than action. For our icy cold adult beverage, we ordered Cuba Libras, its seems that rum is not one of the ingredients.

TIP: Walk the extra distance to the corner and visit Casa & Talj

Very dark restaurant and I was lucky to get a table but it is a large restaurant and so quite a few tables. Extensive menu. I had a rabbit stew that was excellent. I tried the local beer that was also quite good. Service was excellent. Really enjoyed it. I would go back.
