We stayed in the norbury lodge and it was lovely, the whole place was spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed, the hot tub was nice and was refilled every morning. My only criticisms would be, there was not enough hangers ( about 10 between 6 bedrooms), we stayed in a room that had a sky light but there was no blind on it so as soon as the sun came up it woke us up and finally it would of been good to have some soap or hand wash at the sinks as you don't really think about bringing these with you. Overall we had a very good stay and would come again.

We booked this lodge through HoSeasons for the 8 of us over Easter weekend. Considering we paid just over 1k for the weekend, we would have appreciated small things like hand-wash and bins for the rooms!! The lodge was clean but rather cosy. Hot tub was decent and was refilled every morning. However, having been to other lodges through HoSeasons, i found that for the price, the customers were not accommodated for well enough. Timings were unaccomdating and strict , no welcome basket etc, in other words the lodge didn't win any major points with us and we wouldn't return again.
Dovedale was nice to visit and nearby though.

11 of us oldest 84 youngest 7 had a fantastic time in the Stanton lodge. What an amazing place in the woods. The lodge was faultless the kitchen was extremely well equipped we wanted for nothing. To top it all off the hot tub was amazing it easily held 6 of us and under the star light with snow around and the owls hooting it was magical. It made my 60th birthday a memory to treasure. We will be back

Ramshorn Estate consists of about 8 lodges of various sizes. It is a 4 minute drive from Alton Towers.

We were 1 of 3 families stayed at Ramshorn Estate in the Weaver Lodge which was a 6 bedroom lodge set on 2 floors. The lodge was very clean and tidy. This was a great lodge with plenty of space for the 6 adults and 5 kids. There was an outdoor hot tub, unfortunately we couldn’t use it on the first night as it had been refilled and was still cold which was a shame, but we used it for the rest of our stay.

Inside there are a large open plan kitchen, dinner and living room area, this a large wooden table and a log burner in the living room area which was great as it was very cold outside.

Overall we had a brilliant half term break and would definitely recommend it.

Just returned from a lovely weekend in the ‘Wootton’ lodge with 5 friends. The lodge is lovely and spacious, had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing, lovely and hot! The location is great, with nice walks nearby, Dovedale is a short drive and we ate at the Fox & Goose pub on Sunday evening (10 mins drive away).

Only downsides are there is no Wi-Fi and barely and signal (which is nice to get away from it all but for those with children we weren’t able to contact the outside world!), also the wood burner would not work, despite everything we couldn’t get it to stay alight, which then meant the lodge was very very cold. Not many radiators and we were all chilly most of the weekend.

Definitely recommend this for a relaxing weekend away with some stunning scenery nearby.
