We stopped by chance as we rode through Strathcarron on our way to Applecross on our Motorbikes. We stopped and had some great coffee, tea and cake. Having had a quick look at the menu whilst we were there we there we decided to return another day. On our return we ordered a couple of ciabatta sandwiches and a portion of chips and both were delightful. Beautiful fresh salad, coleslaw and tortillas on the side and a decent sized portion. The gentleman and lady who served us were very friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

Traveling from Glen Ord to the Isle of Skye, we happened upon this restaurant and were pleasantly pleased! Quaint with good, friendly service + very good food! Two in our party ordered the cajun chicken and said it was great (though not spicy to someone from a place not far from “cajun” region in the southern USA) + great salad! One in our party ordered mushroom soup (came with a scone) and enjoyed both the soup and the scone. Another ordered a special of west coast haddock fish and chips and remarked it was the best fish and chips yet :)

Popped in here twice during our holiday in the highlands, once on the way to Skye and then on the way back before driving up the west coast!

Really lovely restaurant, we had lunch one day (delicious) and coffee and cake the next time, also very yummy. The menu is pretty extensive and all looked very nice and the selection of homemade cakes means it may take you a while to make a selection as that good.

All of the staff are lovely, we were mainly looked after by the gentleman with the glasses and mustache and he is very nice and welcoming (and makes good recommendations on Scottish lemonade!)

The views from the restaurant, inside and outside (there is outside seating) are absolutely stunning.

As the title of the review says, it's just a shame we live so far away but if we're in the area again we'll definitely pop in.

Lovely restaurant. Passed many times but recommended by a friend so went there for lunch. Staff were very friendly. Food is cooked fresh for you. Good menu and a great selection of specials. Will certainly go back. Great experience.

The restaurant was busy and the menu looked enticing. Although we waited a very long time for our food (as apparently they were short staffed) we weren’t perturbed as we were looking forward to eating some good food; unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The food was mostly edible. If, as a previous reviewer has commented, this restaurant is indeed under new management, I hope it is able to get its act together. The staff apologised for the wait and the food.
