I was here for a business trip. There is nothing bad I can say about the hotel. Rooms are nice, free fitness and swimming pool. Breakfast, lunch, dinner are well organized. Nice presentation, friendly waiters.
Terrace is great with nice weather with an idyllic view on the small harbour.
Definately got my recommendation.

I stayed for two nights on a business trip. The room was facing inner roof courtyard with no privacy unless you close the shutters and have no daylight as a result ...and no views, with trash outside the window. It was a very small room with twin beds, not good value for 200 eur per room per night. Nice shampoos and wash products in the bathroom, but a small and not powerful and outdated dryer. The restaurant serves limited amount of dishes that is not a good value for money, the alternatives in the nearby village are much better. Had a soup with too much cream sauce and not enough soup. When mentioned to the waitress... there was no action about it. The best part of the restaurant is its decorations and barmen - who mixes excellent cocktails.
The Spa area is nice and has good views.
Taxi service in the area is not reliable in the morning and the hotel had to ask one of the employees to bring me to the station to catch express bus to the airport, which was a nice gesture.

An excellent hotel for a family. You can use the facilities as much as you need, or be totally independent. There is no pressure either way. Service is efficient and unobtrusive. Very good breakfast and excellent Spa.

We stayed here in Room 3321 for one night on our way to Sandefjord.

The price for the room was £180. It was a very small room with a lovely view of the rocks and the sea. There was no hanging space apart from 2 coat hangers behind the door. No information of any kind in English. very small thin towels, no bottled water, no kettle, absolutely no space to put anything. There was nobody to help with our luggage, we were just given a luggage trolley when we asked for assistance.

We had lunch outside, which was lovely but they did not have any English menus.
We decided to use the pool and the spa but again we had no idea what we were doing regarding towels etc. It then turned out you have to pay extra to use the Pool/Spa facilities on the 1st floor so we used the pool downstairs, which was cold.

Breakfast was served in a large very dark and dismal room, you could hardly see what you were eating and there was very little fresh fruit. Most depressing.

We walked into town for a drink and supper, which was very good and they had English menus.

I really would not recommend this hotel as I do not consider it to be of an international 4 star standard.

Room tip: sea view room with a balcony

Great location facing the Oslo fjord and 10 minutes walk from the small Son village. You need to have a suite to get a balcony with a view , this is necessary if you stay here. However, their suites are rather expensive. Good breakfast. Suggest you walk to a restaurant in Son instead of dinner at the hotel.
