The views are wonderful at the top of the tower and the base around the tower. The tower was crowded but manageable. The inside painting is nice. We drove from the east. Grand Canyon was amazing! The parking is huge. The picnic area is excellent. We had lunch there.

This place is well worth the twenty two miles one must traverse to get there from the village. The interior and the exterior are so wonderful and the artwork inside is marvelous. Some of Colter's best work.

This is a unique feature of the Grand Canyon national Park. It has a Native American flavor and also looks a bit like a crusader tower. You can see fantastic views of the Grand Canyon from it.

We visited here briefly on our way out of the park. It gives you a completely different perspective than at GC Village, with the Canyon to the west as you look out and the Desert out to the east.

We started our drive from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and drove east on 64 making our way to Page, Arizona. We made every stop along this route of the south rim. However, the Desert View Watchtower has the best view of the Grand Canyon along this route. The restrooms leave little to be desired but make sure to stop at the visitor store and get an ice cream cone for the road. Nice cold reward for your full, fun day on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
