Great you can walk onto the salt deposits - a short walk is sufficient as it is much the same along it (you'll be thankful as it is so hot!)

Truly the bottom of the the country, this is the lowest point in entire USA. Some short walks are possible. Place worthy of visit just for the reason of having geographical significance.

One of the lowest points on Earth. Bring hat and plenty of drinking water because it is sweating hot. It is not necessary to walk too much. You can view the area from the starting point itself. Still you can go further for a walk if you like.

Badwater is nearly 300ft under sea level and the salt flats at Badwater are well worth the visit. On your way back, take the one way “Artists Drive” for some more fantastic scenery.

We didn't enjoy these salt flats very much... we just expected a bit more out of them than a stripe of salt on the ground. Something that would extend in all directions. Some of the photos are misleading. By all means, if it's on your way have a look, we are not saying it's terrible, just probably not worth the detour.
