What a fun walk. Great view. Make sure you cover your face if it is windy. Felt like a natural sand blaster. Fun morning.

Stopped here in late afternoon and then returned for sunrise the next morning. Lots of parking available and basic restrooms are also available. The viewing platform is an easy walk from the parking lot and even though there is an elevation gain, it is not that bad. The landscape here is really interesting and captivating and differs whether you look to the left or to the right. Definitely worth visiting and capturing some photos.

Wintertime at sunrise is the best time to take in some amazing vistas. This is a favorite spot for camera buffs. There are several trails that many photographers take to get that unique perspective when the sun crests up over the hills. It is not a long walk up the hill. (Tour busses arrive all day to drop off folks for a quick look--that's why I would recommend an early visit and then take a drive eastbound to drive the 20 Mule team canyon drive before the rest of the tourists take over the place.)

Maybe it was the time of the year, but we found this underwhelming. The short walk up to the lookout from the car-park was good for us, but otherwise pretty forgettable.

However the "short walk" is challenging if you have walking issues. I made it with a walker but it would be a challenge for a wheelchair or cane. Better signage everywhere would be welcome.
